SSL Certificate For Your Exchange Mail Servers

We recommend Comodo® Unified Communication SSL Certificate

Designed exclusively for Microsoft Exchange and Office Communications infrastructures, Comodo’s Unified Communications Certificates allow a single certificate to provide SSL-secured communications for multiple domains and multiple host names operating on a single IP address.

  • Secure Multiple Domain Name & SAN

  • Domain & Organization Validated

  • Issued Within 3-7 Days

  • Exchange 2003/2007/2010/2013

  • Unlimited Issuance Insurance

  • Up to 3 Years Validity

  • Includes Static Trust Seal

  • 99.3% Browser Recognition

A single Comodo UC Certificate can offer protection to multiple domains and hosts configured in your Exchange Server where a traditional or a wildcard SSL certificate cannot. Traditional SSL certificates are limited to a single domain and a wildcard certificate can support all the first level sub-domains of a single domain, e.g. *.example .com. A Comodo UC certificate can protect different domains as such, e.g., www. etc.

Comodo UCC certificate enables to secure each name used by the server to communicate with clients such as:

  • Autodiscover : Outlook (email client)
  • OWA (Outlook Web Access) : Webmail version of Outlook
  • ActiveSync : Mobile Synchronization with Exchange Mail Server

The information carried by the certificate of the company will be presented that way (asterisk being the internal name of the exchange server):

  • asterisk
  • asterisk.mycompany.local

Microsoft recommends Unified Communication SSL certificates –called UC Certificates – for all Exchange server versions 2013, 2010, 2007 and 2003 as well as Office Communications Server 2007 as well as  Office collaboration server 2007. Comodo UC certificates are designed particularly for Exchange server certificates as per Microsoft guideline.

Special Notes

To allow Comodo to complete the domain validation and organization validation process faster, we recommend getting the following details ready :

  1. Go with email validation instead of file based validation during the process of submission of your CSR. Reason is Comodo will require the same txt hash file be uploaded to all your SANS domains for validation if you choose file based validation.
  2. For email validation, please ensure the email account administrator@ , postmaster@ is accessible as a mailbox to receive the first level of domain validation email approval from Comodo.
  3. Comodo will require the business registered document - particularly Form 9 from SSM. Scan and send a copy of the doc to our support.
  4. Lastly, Comodo will conduct a validation call to the admin contact details as indicated during the submission of the CSR that you have filled in. Please make sure that contact number is reachable and match with the business directory listing for your business name at any of the directory listing at OR . If you do not have any business listing on the directory, you can submit one. We recommend YellowPages as it's free but do take note YellowPages has their own processing time to complete the validation.
  5. The speed of issuance of the certificate by Comodo deeply rely on completeness of validation by Comodo as per their requirement.

With every purchase of Comodo™ SSL certificate with us, we will be issuing one year of Free Uptime Monitoring to your account. With this service, you will get instant notifications if your Exchange mail service is having any interruption.

With this add-on service, you will get instant notifications if your mail server is down - when it is not pingable. Our premier uptime monitoring services comes with unlimited email, SMS & voice notifications with more than 30 monitoring stations around the globe - giving you the best accuracy with very minimum false alarm alert.

Why are we giving this for free? This services usually will cost you more than RM400+/year when you sign up separately with any 3rd party uptime monitoring provider with limited notifications limit but we include this as part of each SSL Certificate you have purchased through us. Simply put, because we understand you are serious on your online business with SSL Security certificate and your website uptime is another important aspect which should be taken care apart from the SSL Security certificate to protect your customer sensitive data. If your website is down, implementing SSL Security certificate will not help to recover your potential visitors & sales as well as your reputation.

* SSL certificates must be installed on your web server. Therefore, an end-to-end SSL installation support should be performed by your hosting provider. Please contact their support for assistance with CSR generation and SSL installation.

** Selected orders can be flagged for an additional "Brand Validation" procedure by Certificate Authority. This is a necessary security measure. If the order is flagged for "Brand Validation", SSL issuance can be delayed for a time period deemed necessary by the Certificate Authority.

*** To make the certificate issuance process faster, you need to ensure that you have correct contact information on WHOIS for your domain. You also need to have a dedicated IP address (can be ordered at your web host), and a CSR generated on your web server for your domain name.
